A fire that quickly tore through Beltola Korail slum in the capital's Banani Thursday night was brought under control within 30 minutes, authorities said. Fortunately, no casualties were reported till the filling of this report. The blaze began at 11pm at the slum, Shahjahan Sikder, deputy assistant director of the fire service headquarters media cell, said. On information, five firefighting units responded to the fire, and the responders could tame the flames at 11:33pm, he said.
