Police recovered the body of an unidentified woman from a cornfield in Lalmonirhat on Wednesday. The body was found in the afternoon in the Bamanatari area of Mogolhat Union in Lalmonirhat, said Nur Nabi, officer-in-charge of Lalmonirhat Sadar Police Station. A man and his niece were killed after being run over by a speeding bus in the Swarnamati Bridge area of Aditmari upazila of Lalmonirhat on Friday, police said. The victims were identified as Ramzan Ali alias Badsha, 40, and his niece Khushi Akhter, 24, from Diagram Paikartari area in Kaliganj upazila. Locals said that Ramzan Ali was traveling towards Lalmonirhat with his niece on a motorcycle when the accident occurred around 9 am.
