Certificates were presented to the newly appointed leaders by SACCJF Executive President Asaduzzaman Shamrat and Secretary General Karamot Ullah Biplob.
They outlined their action plans, stressing the importance of a coordinated regional approach to tackling climate change challenges across South Asia, including Bangladesh.
SACCJF was formed by South Asian journalists working on climate issues at the COP-27 conference held in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, in 2022.
The organisation has already established chapters in India and Nepal and has initiated various programmes to tackle climate change. A regional climate conference is scheduled to be held in Nepal next October under the organisation's initiative.
