Indian PM Modi speaks with Iranian president on Middle East tensions
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke by phone with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
Modi expressed “deep concern over the escalation of tensions and the loss of civilian lives,” according to his post on X. He reiterated India’s commitment to peace and stability and urged dialogue and diplomacy.
He also stressed that the safety and security of Indian nationals and the uninterrupted transit of goods and energy remain India’s top priorities.
