Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday asked Awami League and its associate bodies to quickly form a Relief Committee comprising of party leaders and activists up to ward level across the country. She gave three directives including this while holding a views exchange meeting through video conference with AL leaders and activists who were present at the party president's political office at Dhanmondi. In the hour-long meeting, Hasina, also the AL chief, discussed various steps of the government which have been taken to face coronavirus. She also gave various organisational directives to leaders and activists of AL and associated bodies for the upcoming days to face the challenge of COVID-19. Sheikh Hasina asked them to submit names of the Relief Committee to their organisational districts. This committee will prepare a list of poor, distressed and helpless people irrespective of party affiliation and creed and that list will be handed over to the local administration to assist and coordinate for preparing an accurate list.
