Tap brings DPS facility
Mobile financial services (MFS) provider Trust Axiata Pay (Tap) and Mutual Trust Bank (MTB) have brought a DPS facility for their customers to facilitate general and Shariah-based Islamic savings.
Tap and MTB launched the service in Dhaka's Gulshan Wednesday (December 22, 2022).
Tap customers will not have to stand in a queue or visit a bank to make payment for their DPS service. Anyone can open and operate an account through the tap app. Through tap, a certain amount of money every month would be deposited automatically into the designated bank account.
For savings, both general and Islamic DPS can be opened. By accessing the tap app, anyone can avail of the DPS facility by opening an account and providing information about how much money they will pay per month and certain months.

The user will also have to provide information about which date of the month the money will be deducted from their tap account.
Dewan Nazmul Hasan, chief executive officer of tap, and Syed Mahbubur Rahman, managing director and chief executive officer of MTB, were present at the launching ceremony.
Nazmul said: "There is no substitute for savings services for future financial benefits. We are hopeful that, as a result of this joint venture of Mutual Trust Bank and tap, customers will be interested in saving."
Mahbubur said: "There is no alternative to savings considering the financial security and planning for the future. Mutual Trust Bank and tap have taken the initiative of DPS to encourage customers to save."

Tap teams up with Sonali Bank to launch inter-banking transaction services
Mobile financial services (MFS) provider Trust Axiata Pay (Tap) has launched inter-banking transaction services in collaboration with Sonali Bank.
From now on Tap users can avail of the services using Sonali Bank's add money option.

Customers can avail of the services for free by adding the Sonali Bank option to their apps.
To enjoy the service, add money or fund transfer option needs to be accessed.
"Tap customers can add money or transfer funds of maximum Tk50,000 and Tk3 lakh monthly," the MFS CEO Nazmul Hasan said in a media statement.

Tap offers bonus data, cashback on Robi, Airtel internet packages
Mobile financial service (MFS) provider Trust Axiata Pay (Tap) has come up with cashback and bonus data offers for its customers on the purchase of Robi and Airtel internet packages and bundles.
The cashback campaign offer will continue till August 31.
Tap users will get 18GB instead of Airtel's regular 14GB internet package of Tk129 for seven days, and a cashback of Tk9.

They will get an extra 2GB of data with an 800MB regular internet package for three days at Tk32 with a cashback of Tk3.
The Tap 5GB and 150-minute bundle can be availed instead of the previous regular bundle offer of 2GB and 100-minute for three days at Tk158.
Customers can get an extra 500MB of data if they buy a 1.5GB package of Robi for three days for Tk57 – the total internet package will be 2GB and there will be a cashback of Tk4.

Upon purchasing a 2GB and 25-minute bundle for seven days at Tk98, they will get 500MB of internet and 50-minute talk time and a cashback of Tk6.

Tap, Trust Bank introduce add money service
Mobile financial services (MFS) provider Trust Axiata Pay (Tap) and Trust Bank have started the add money service to make financial transactions easy and affordable.
Tap customers can now add money from their Trust Bank accounts, according to a media statement.

Dewan Nazmul Hasan, chief executive officer of Tap, said: "Tap customers can add money to their tap wallets from Trust Bank. This process will help them save their time and money."
"Tap customers can add Tk50,000 in a day and Tk3 lakh in a month from their bank accounts," he added.

Mobile financial service (MFS) provider Trust Axiata Pay (Tap) is offering up to Tk60 cashback on the purchase of GP bundles.
The campaign started on July 13 and will run till July 26.

Tap customers can enjoy this offer using the Tap app or USSD code. Also, they can avail of the offer by recharging the bundles in their own or others' GP number.
When it comes to recharging bundles in others' GP numbers, the customer who recharges the bundle will receive the cashback, according to a media statement.

Tap, FairMart sign MoU
Mobile financial services provider Trust Axiata Pay (Tap) and e-commerce platform FairMart have signed an agreement to facilitate shopping ahead of Eid.
Users can now pay through Tap on every purchase from FairMart.
Ashikur Rahman, head of corporate affairs and media relations at Trust Axiata Pay, and Md Ataul Haque, head of business at Fairmart, signed the agreement.

DNCC holding taxes can be paid through Tap
Mobile financial services provider Trust Axiata Pay (Tap) has introduced a new service that will allow its users to pay holding taxes.
Tap users can now pay the holding taxes of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).
DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam and Tap CEO Dewan Nazmul Hasan recently signed an agreement in this regard.

Atiqul said: "The cashless transaction will ensure transparency and accountability. Through this automation, people can now receive necessary services at home while the exploitative influence of the middlemen would shrink at the same time."

Tap, Dana sign deal to offer embedded financial services
Mobile financial service provider Trust Axiata Pay (Tap) and Dana Fintech, an embedded finance and credit scoring platform, have announced a partnership to offer loyalty programmes, buy now, pay later (BNPL) and digital lending to underserved consumers and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The partnership is set to facilitate end-to-end embedded financial services for micro and small enterprises and underserved consumers through lending partners.
Both companies will also enable partner banks and MFIs to extend salary advances, SME digital lending, and BNPL facility to Tap users.

Tap launches zakat campaign
Mobile financial services provider Trust Axiata Pay (Tap) has come up with an easy way to pay zakat ahead of the coming Eid-ul-Fitr to any madrasa in the country.
Customers can now pay zakat directly from their Tap accounts to a specific madrasa.
They can find the madrasas by clicking the zakat tab from their Tap accounts.

Users have to select a madrasa they want to donate their zakat to, mention the amount and send it. The madrasa's account will instantly receive the money donated by them.
Tap CEO Dewan Nazmul Hasan said: "We have initiated this zakat campaign to make the zakat donation easier for people living in any corner of the country and so that the affluent people can pay their zakat with just one click. At the same time, they can also aid any madrasa in any part of the country."

Tap MFS launches iftar offer campaign
Mobile Financial Service ’tap’ (Trust Axiata Pay) has launched its Ramadan ‘Iftar Offer’ to render a delightful experience to its customers. This campaign comes with the offer that allows a ’tap’ user to enjoy 300 tk. promo code of Foodpanda upon 100 tk. mobile recharge.
This special offer will be available till 25th April, for all the current and new TAP users.
To avail the Foodpanda promo code which is worth Tk 300 the ‘tap’ users are required to recharge 100 tk. to any mobile number. The winners will receive the promo code through an SMS within 72 hours.
