Daraz Bangladesh celebrates its 8th anniversary
Online marketplace Daraz Bangladesh is celebrating its 8th anniversary with a special anniversary campaign.
The campaign with the slogan “8 years of Unbound Joy Thank You, Bangladesh!” was inaugurated through a press conference on Thursday at a hotel in the capital. The campaign will continue from September 4 to 11.
To make the anniversary memorable for the shoppers, Daraz has brought a wide array of exciting tractions such as brand-free shipping, mystery box, flash sales, hot deals, and mega deals.
Besides, the campaign comprises massive discount offers of up to BDT 15,000, gamification giveaways, vouchers, payment offers, new user gifts, flash puzzle challenges, exclusive launches, and exceptional EMI facilities.
In 2014, Daraz began its journey with just five employees and a website.

After eight years the company has transformed into a leading e-commerce platform as it shares its success with over 7 million customers, 41,000 sellers, and numerous partners and stakeholders, said the speakers at the press conference.
Bjarke Mikkelsen, Founder & CEO of Daraz Group, was present as the chief guest at the press conference.
He said, “Bangladesh has the potential to be the biggest and most important market for Daraz Group, and our shareholders are interested in investing BDT 1 thousand crore over the next 3-4 years for building e-commerce infrastructure and ecosystem in the country.”
On behalf of Daraz, Zornica Zafirova, Group COO, Syed Mostahidal Hoq, Managing Director; Md. Tajdin Hassan, Chief Marketing Officer; Tasfin Alam Khondoker, Chief Operating Officer; A.H.M Hasinul Quddus Rusho, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer; Shabbir Hossain, Chief Commercial Officer and Md. Riyad Hossain, Chief Human Resource Officer, were also present at the event along with other high officials.

Daraz brings more special offers ahead of biggest one-day sale 11.11
Daraz Bangladesh set to host Eleven Eleven (11.11), its biggest one-day sale
campaign, is also offering exciting teasing offers for customers starting from November 1 to 11.
One of the attractive offer is “Make a Wish” contest under which customers can share any of their wishes on Facebook with a #dWish and #daraz1111.

Daraz relaunches dMart for customers from Sept 21-27
Daraz Bangladesh is going to relaunch dMart campaign for its customer to avail required daily essentials from the convenience of their homes.
The campaign will be live from September 21 to 27 with amazing discounts & offers and consist of a wide range of household essentials like groceries, baby care & beauty products. .
The brand partners of the campaign are Pusti, Mozammel, Huggies, Unilever, Marico, Godrej, Dettol, Dabur, and Rupchanda.
Customers can avail the best offers & discounts from the brand partners, along with thousands of other options available on dMart during the relaunch campaign.

Tajdin new Daraz CMO
Online marketplace Daraz has recently appointed Md Tajdin Hassan as its chief marketing officer (CMO).
Tajdin will be responsible for managing and overseeing all the marketing-related issues of Daraz Bangladesh.

Before joining the e-commerce platform, he worked as chief strategy and digital transformation officer at The Daily Star.
Tajdin brings with him fourteen years of experience and a successful track record in marketing.

Daraz ropes in Hasinul as chief corporate affairs officer
E-commerce platform Daraz Bangladesh has appointed AHM Hasinul Quddus as its chief corporate affairs officer.
Hasinul previously served as the government & stakeholder relations director at Banglalink Digital Communications Ltd, the e-commerce platform said in a release.

HungryNaki expands service to 5 more zones
App-based food delivery service company HungryNaki, a concern of Daraz Bangladesh, has recently stretched its service to five more zones to reach more people.
At a time when the country has entered "strict lockdown" in the wake of a fresh surge of coronavirus infections and fatalities, food connoisseurs living in Savar, Gazipur, Keraniganj, Tongi and Cumilla will get food delivery service from HungryNaki.
From Thursday, food lovers from these areas can order their favourite delicacies. People of those areas can also place orders for necessary groceries.

Restaurants, including Mithai (Cumilla), Tasty Treat (Keraniganj), Pizza Hut (Savar), will be delivering mouth-watering dishes to the food connoisseurs. There will be 100 other restaurants offering the food lovers a delicious gastronomical journey through HungryNaki.
The app-based food delivery service company will charge Tk19 as a delivery fee.
Abu Saleh Didar, head of commercial at HungryNaki, said: "HungryNaki wants to spread its service across the country and live up to the expectations of the food lovers and customers. So, we have recently expanded our service to five more zones. We will keep expanding so that even someone from a suburb can enjoy what he/she loves."

Daraz inks deal with Monster
Online marketplace Daraz recently signed an agreement with the internationally-renowned brand Monster to add a new range of audio, video, and gaming products to its collection.
Monster is now the world's leading manufacturer of high-performance cables, which are widely used to connect audio and video components. The brand has a wide range of products, including headphones, speakers, HDMI cables, and power solutions.

Daraz organises roadshow to celebrate 50 years of Bangladesh's Independence
E-commerce site Daraz Friday (March 26, 2021) arranged a roadshow with its 50 Dex (Daraz Express) delivery vans to celebrate 50 years of Bangladesh's Independence.
Through this roadshow, the online marketplace also celebrated the setting up of its hubs in 64 districts of the country.
The roadshow continued from 9am to 2pm on March 26 where the Dex vans circled Dhaka city.
Daraz Managing Director Syed Mostahidal Hoq said, "We are delighted to be a part of the grand celebration Bangladesh is hosting on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of its Independence."
The roadshow created a spectacular sight as 50 delivery vans crowded the streets of the capital portraying historical quotes and pictures from 1971.
