Noted Dhaka University Professor Ajoy Roy, father of slain writer and blogger Avijit Roy, passed away at Bangladesh Institute of Research and Rehabilitation in Diabetes, Endocrine and Metabolic Disorders (Birdem) Hospital in the city on Monday. He was 85.
