Three-day ‘Bangladesh Jewellery Expo-2022’, first of its kind in the country, kicks off on Thursday. Bangladesh Jewllers’ Samity (Bajus) is organizing the expo at Bashundhara International Convention Centre, beside the 300 feet Purbachal connecting road in the capital. Bajus is arranging the expo to celebrate the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the Golden Jubilee of Bangladesh. Basuj hopes around 2 lakh local visitors, businesses and entrepreneurs will come to the expo. Besides, a number of foreign buyers from the UEA, Kuwait and Canada will join in the jewellery expo, the organizers said. Bajus President Sayem Sobhan Anvir hoped that this expo will contribute to enrich the domestic jewellery industry.
