The weather department has predicted showers across Bangladesh in 24 hours commencing 9 am on Monday.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely at many places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said a Met Office bulletin.

Rainfall activity may decrease in next three days, it added.
Day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country.
The weather office recorded the highest 56 mm rainfall in Dimla of Rangpur division in 24 hours till 6am on Monday.
The highest temperature was recorded at 35.4 degrees Celsius in Jashore of Khulna division, while the lowest temperature was recorded at 23.5 degrees in Rajarhat of Rangpur division.
Meanwhile, the axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh.
Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere over North Bay, said the bulletin.
