Awami League candidate Alauddin Ahmed Chowdhury Nasim from Feni-1, Awami League candidate Nizam Uddin Hazari from Feni-2 and Jatiya Party's Lt Gen (retd) Masud Uddin Chowdhury from Feni-3 emerged victorious in the 12th parliamentary election.
Analysing the results, it was found that they all failed to get the minimum votes to save their security deposit.
Feni District's Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner, Shahina Akhter, explained that candidates in each constituency won't regain their deposit if they fail to secure at least one-eighth of the total valid votes cast.
