Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested 9,939 alleged drug dealers and recovered a huge amount of various drugs conducting anti-drug drives across the country in the just-concluded year 2023.
Drug addiction is a threat to the youth as well as society and future generations of the country. Where there are drugs, the presence of illegal weapons, smuggling, women trafficking, robbery, theft and other crimes are usually not far away.

In the light of Prime Minister's "Zero Tolerance Against Drugs" policy, elite force RAB has been constantly conducting anti-narcotics operations and intelligence surveillance with the slogan "Let's go to war, against drugs".
As part of implementing this, RAB conducted 4453 operations across the country and brought allegations 9,939 drug dealers under the law in 2023, said ASP Imran Khan of the Rab headquarters media wing on Tuesday.

During these raids, the elite force seized 95,29,419 pieces of yaba pills, 127.250 kg of heroin, 1,23,054 bottles of contraband Phencidyl, 14,700 bottles of foreign liquor, 78,242.38 liters of distilled liquor, 25,853.35 kg of ganja (hemp), 6,756 bottles of beer, 11.445 kg of opium, 70,527 pieces of addictive injections, 2,18,983 pieces of drug tablets and other drugs.
