The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed a case against Sub-Inspector Alamgir Hossain of Sonatala Police Station on Sunday accusing him of amassing illegal wealth of Tk 13.14 lakh.
In a handout, the ACC said it opened an investigation after receiving information that he had amassed illegal wealth.

In a wealth statement, Alamgir said he had movable and immovable properties worth Tk 72.51 lakh. But he could not show any source for another Tk 39.14 lakh.
When contacted, SI Alamgir said he was unaware about the case.
