According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 19 more people died from Covid-19 during the period taking the total fatalities to 5,780.
Meanwhile, the DGSH said, 1,498 patients have recovered and with that the total recoveries stand at 313,563.
The recovery rate has climbed to 78.88 percent as the fatality rate declined slightly to 1.45 percent.
The daily infection rate for Friday was recorded at 9.95 percent upon testing 10,556 samples. So far, 17.69 percent of 2,246,486 tested samples have turned out to be positive.
Bangladesh is seeing 2334.07 infections, 1841.17 recoveries and 33.98 deaths per million.
Currently, there are 78,164 active cases in the country.
Of the total victims, 4,452 are men and 1,328 are women.
So far, 2,976 people have died in Dhaka division, 1,153 in Chattogram, 369 in Rajshahi, 463 in Khulna, 197 in Barishal, 241 in Sylhet, 260 in Rangpur and 121 in Mymensingh.
Across the country, 12,120 people are now in isolation and 39,830 in quarantine.
Bangladesh reported its first cases on March 8. The number of cases reached the 300,000-mark on August 26. The first death was reported on March 18 and the death toll exceeded 5,000 on September 22.
