Bangladesh Police is a hundred-year-old institution that has been successfully performing their duties in maintaining law and order, said Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun today.
Police are determined to keep the law and order situation stable in the country at any cost, he said, while speaking as the chief guest at the annual police rally, sports competition and prize distribution ceremony of Patuakhali Police at the district police lines this afternoon.
“The prime minister has taken various steps to enhance the capacity of Bangladesh Police since assuming office. There is a stable law and order situation in the country. As a result, an investment-friendly environment has been created. Our per capita income has increased to about $3 000,” said the IGP.
Patuakhali Superintendent of Police Md Saidul Islam delivered the closing speech.
