A doa mahfil on occasion of the chehlum of late Zainul Haque Sikder, founder chairman of Sikder Group of Companies and a freedom fighter, was held at the premises of the Sikder Women's Medical College Hospital in Dhanmandi on Monday.

Sikder Group on Saturday urged all parties to refrain from running false and fabricated stories about the group’s managing director Ron Haque Sikder, following his controversial return to the country on Friday – presumably to perform the last rites for his father.

A Dhaka court on Friday granted bail to Managing Director of Sikder Group Ron Haque Sikder hours after he was arrested in an attempted murder case.

Sikder Group of Companies Chairman and freedom fighter Zainul Haque Sikder passed away on Wednesday at 12:30pm at a Dubai hospital.
