Two workers die from electrocution in Nawabganj


Two workers died and another was injured from electrocution in Bhawalia area of Nawabganj upazila on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Jewel Rana, 25, son of Abdul Haid, resident of Rajarhat village and Mominul Islam, 22, son of Nazir Hossain, of Dolon village of Ulipur upazila in Kurigram while the injured is Sumon, 18.

Mominul Islam, official of Palli Bidyut, said that the three workers electrocuted when they were repairing a line in the area and injured critically.

Later, they were rushed to the upazila health complex where doctors declared the duo dead.

Mrittunjoy Kirtonia, sub-inspector of Nawabganj Police Station, said that they recovered the body.

They are investing the incident.
