“The people of the country want to see Jatiya Party, not Awami League or BNP, in power in the future,” he said.
GM Quader said, “People have lost their confidence in the two parties due to corruption, misrule and politicisation. They’ve become fed-up with the misrule of Awami League and BNP.”

The Jatiya Party chief made the remarks while speaking at a meeting of party co-chairmen at his Banani office.
He said people expect Jatiya Party to turn into a stronger party in the future to fulfill their hopes and aspirations.
GM Quader, also the Deputy Leader of the Opposition in parliament, said Jatiya Party, led by its founder HM Ershad, could ensure both the development and good governance. “There’s no corruption, tender manipulation and politicisation during the Jatiya Party rule.”

He called upon the party leaders and activists to work sincerely for strengthening the organisational capacity of Jatiya Party before the next national election.
Party senior co-chairman Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud, MP, secretary general Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu, co-chairmen Syed Abu Hossain Babla MP and Mujibul Haque Chunnu, MP also spoke at the meeting.
Meanwhile, former Additional Public Prosecutor (PP) of Kurigram Judge's Court and senior lawyer Advocate Emdadul Haque joined Jatiya Party.

Emdadul Haque officially joined Jatiya Party by presenting GM Quader a bouquet at party chairman’s Banani office on Tuesday afternoon.
GM Quader welcomed Emdad and urged him to keep a significant contribution to making the party stronger as it has potential to return to power in the days to come.
