The fire that broke out in an oil-laden vessel in the Buriganga River near Fatullah Bazar in Narayanganj district on Wednesday, has been brought under control, said the Fire Service.
Earlier, the fire broke out around 13:32 pm and engulfed the vessel, said deputy assistant director of Fire Service and Civil Defense (media cell) Shahjahan Shikder.
On information, eight firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control around 3pm.
