Islamic University, Jan 21 (UNB) – The authorities of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Monday suspended one of its officials as he was allegedly involved with unsocial activities.
IU Vice-Chancellor Professor Rashid Askari issued the suspension order against Jahangir Hossain, an assistant registrar of Finance and Accounts section, IU acting registrar SM Abdul Latif said.
The authorities also formed a four-member probe body, led by chairman of marketing department professor M Zakaria Rahman, to look into the matter and asked the body to submit its report as early as possible, he said.
Earlier, Jahangir reportedly took a girl to the university rest house in the capital and committed unsocial activity there, Abdul Latif said.
