Islamic University, Jan 17 (UNB) – A regional seminar titled ‘Contemporary issues in economic development of Bangladesh’ will be held at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Saturday.
IU Economics department and Bangladesh Economic Association (BEA) will jointly organise the seminar, Economic department Professor M Alamgir Hossain Bhuiya said on Friday.
IU vice-chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari will inaugurate the seminar at Birshreshtha Hamidur Rahman Auditorium around 10 am.
BEA president Professor Abul Barkat will address the seminar as the chief guest while IU pro-vice-chancellor Professor M ShahinoorRahman, treasurer Professor M SelimToha and BEA general secretary and Janta Bank Chairman JamaluddinAhmed will be present as special guests.
IU Economics department’s Professor M Abdul Muyeed will chair the seminar.
