Dhaka, Jan 21 (UNB) – A writ petition was filed with the High Court (HC) on Monday seeking directive for holding Bishwa Ijtema.
The writ was filed by Yunus Mollah, a resident of Tejgaon in the city. The writ sought to uphold a directive issued in September that set out a 5-point plan of action towards arranging the Ijtema, contending it gained a certain acceptance and caused peace to reign among the Tabligh followers, before it was withdrawn by the court order in just 5 days.
A bench of Justice JBM Hassan and Justice Md Khairul Alam fixed the Tuesday (Jan 22) date for passing the order on the writ petition, said Attorney General Motahar Hossain Saju.
