It plans to arrange international conferences to share technical knowhow with foreign experts, take part in global competitions and international fairs, among others, as part of its roadmap to achieve its goal.
Walton arranged a two-day international conference in Gazipur on December 22 and 23. It was attended by foreign experts and the company’s engineers and representatives.
Abdur Rouf, first senior additional director of Walton and the conference’s convenor, said the participants propounded various timely and realistic directions for manufacturing fridges for international consumers.
Walton is also working hard to win prestigious awards like ‘iF Design Award’ and ‘Red Dot Design Award’ next year.
Edward Kim, president of International Business Unit of Walton Group, said the brand stood at the top in Bangladeshi electronics market.
“Now, it is time for us to turn Walton into the best global brand,” he said, adding that the conference was like the launching ceremony of Walton’s journey towards becoming the best brand in the international electronics market.
Kim said they were trying to nurture Walton’s presence in the international market through sustainable partnership with customers by exporting products under their own brand logo as well as OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) business.
“These two approaches, along with the new concept and innovation, will turn Walton into a global player step by step,” he added.
Uday Hakim, deputy executive director of Walton Group, said, the company’s products manufactured in Bangladesh were being exported to Asian, Middle Eastern and African countries.
“We are now focusing on exporting (products) to the world’s developed nations,” he added.
With that in mind, Walton is participating and showcasing its products and services in international business conferences and trade fairs. It participated in Canton Fair in China, Logos Fair in Nigeria, Electronic Fair in UAE and Kenya (KITE); most recently Chillventa Exhibition in Germany.
Walton is also planning to attend popular consumer electronics festivals, including IFA fair in Berlin and CES in Las Vegas.
