Eight Asian countries-- India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Nepal and UAE, split into two groups, will compete in the 50-over-a-side matches.

Afghanistan, India, Nepal and UAE was placed in Group A while Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Hong Kong put Group B.

The group A matches will be held at BKSP ground in Dhaka while the Group B matches will be played at MA Aziz Stadium and Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram as all the matches of Cox’s Bazar were shifted to Dhaka.

On completion of the group matches, top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals. Afghanistan U-19 come into the tournament as the defending champions from the 2017 edition held in Malaysia.
