Dhaka, Jan 13 (UNB) - Masuda Akter, a student of the Sociology Department, emerged champion in the annual sports competition of Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnessa Mujib Hall of Dhaka University on Sunday.
Reshma Akter Eti, a student of the Management Department, finished runner-up in the daylong meet held at the university’s central playground.
DU Vice-chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the competition in the morning as the chief guest.
DU Pro-VC (Academic) Prof Dr Nasreen Ahmad was the chief guest at the closing ceremony and later she distributed prizes among the winners.
Provost of Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnessa Mujib Hall Prof Dr Zakia Parveen, Advisor and Director of Physical Education Centre Prof Dr M Ziaul Hoque Mamun, house tutors, students and officials of the hall were also present on the occasion.
