Dhaka, Feb 3 (UNB) - The general discussion on the thanksgiving motion on President’s speech started in Parliament on Sunday.
Chief whip Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury placed the thanksgiving motion on the President’s speech in the House which was supported by ASM Feroz.
Treasury bench members Meher Afroze, Benjir Ahmed, Shahiduzzaman Sarker and Prof Ali Ashraf took part in the discussion on the first day.
Addressing the opening session of the 11th parliament on January 30, President Abdul Hamid urged all the MPs from both the treasury and opposition benches to play an appropriate and effective role in fulfilling the expectations of people.
