Chapainawabganj, Dec 19 (UNB) – Members of Border Guard Bangladesh recovered firearms and gunpowder from Masudpur border in Shibganj upazila on Tuesday night.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of BGB conducted a drive in Tarapur field around 10:15 pm and challenged three people while they were trying to intrude Bangladesh from Indian border, said Lt Col Sajjad Sarwer, commanding officer of BGB-53 battalion.
Later, they fled the scene leaving a bag.
Searching the bag, the BGB team recovered a pistol, a one-shooter pistol, 11-round bullet and 5.5 kg gun powder worth of TK 3.22lakh, said the official.
