Dhaka, Feb 12 (UNB) - Bangladesh ICT Journalist Forum (BIJF), the only registered organisation of media professionals working on technology issue, has got its new leadership for the next two years.
Daily Ittefaq Technology Editor Mojahidul Islam and Daily Samakal Senior Sub-editor Hasan Jakir have been elected president and secretary respectively in the executive council election for the 2019-20 session, said a press release on Tuesday.
The election commission, led by Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar, announced the results at the BIJF Secretariat in Karwan Bazar in the capital on Tuesday evening.
Other commissioners were senior journalists Mahmood Hossain and Mehedi Hassan Palash.
Other executive council members are: Vic-president Naznin Nahar (Tech World), Joint Secretary Mostafizur Rahman Shohag (Alokito Bangladesh), Research and Publication Secretary Jannatul Islam Rahad (Daily Sun), Treasurer Enamul Karim (Digital Somoy), Organising Secretary Haseeb Rahman (Khola Kolom) and executive members – Mizanur Rahman Sohel (Jugantor) and Rahitul Islam Ruwel (Computer Jagat).
BIJF started its journey in 2005 and now media professionals on technology beat representing country’s leading newspapers and television channels are its memebrs.
