The leaders are: GM Ziaur Rahman, GM Enamul Hossain, IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman, IM Mohammad Minhaz Uddin, FM Tahsin Tajwar Zia, FM Subrota Biswas, FM Mehdi Hasan Parag, FM Sheikh Nasir Ahmed and FM Liyanage Ranindu Dilshan of Sri Lanka.

In the women’s section, FM Nazrana Khan Eva of Bangladesh took solo lead securing 3. 5 points after the 4th round.

n the open section of the day's 5th round, IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman drew with GM Ziaur Rahman. IM Fahad played with white pieces against Tarrasch defense of GM Zia and drew in 41 moves. GM Razib drew with FM Tahsin. GM Razib played with black pieces, choosing the Modern Defense and drew with FM Tahsin at 87th moves. FM Sheikh Nasir Ahmed beat GM Niaz Murshed. FM won in 51 moves with white pieces against GM Niaz's Sicilian defense system. FM Subrota defeated FM Md. Taibur Rahman. FM Subrota played with white pieces Sicilian defense of FM Taibur and won in 61 moves. IM Minhaz beat Shafiq Ahmed. IM Minhaz won against Shafiq in 70 moves by adopting the French defense method with black pieces. FM Parag defeated FM Khandaker Aminul Islam.

In the day's 5th round matches of the Women’s section: WFM Nazrana Khan Eva drew with WCM Ahmed Walijah. WCM Walijah played with white pieces against Sicilian defense of WFM Nazrana Khan Eva, WCM Walijah started well in the opening against the Sicilian defense but leveled after 32 moves and the game was drawn in 44 moves. WFM Noshin Anjum also drew with Wadifa Ahmed. WFM Noshin Anjum played against Wadifa Ahmed's Rui-Lopez opening with black pieces and drew in 35 moves. WCM Jannatul Ferdous defeated WCM Mehak Gul of Pakistan. WCM Jannatul Ferdous won in 50 moves against WCM Mehak Gul's Sicilian Defense style with white pieces.
