Sushmita Sen took to Instagram to celebrate a major milestone — the 31st anniversary of her historic win as Miss Universe. On May 21, 1994, she became the first Indian to claim the prestigious title, and today, she commemorated the moment with a heartfelt tribute and a series of nostalgic photos from the pageant.
The images capture key highlights from her Miss Universe journey: posing gracefully among fellow contestants, exuding confidence on stage, and the emotional moment she was crowned — her hands clasped in joyous disbelief.
Reflecting on the life-changing event, Sushmita wrote:
“21st May 1994 #Manila. A historical win that introduced an 18yr old Indian girl to the Universe!!!
