An audio clip has gone viral on social media where deputy commissioner of Kurigram, who was withdrawn for ordering the arrest and sentencing of journalist Ariful Islam Rigan, was heard to console the victim.

Deputy Commissioner of Kurigram Sultana Parvin was made officer on special duty (OSD) on Monday over punishing a journalist through a mobile court.

State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain on Sunday said the Deputy Commissioner of Kurigram will be withdrawn over punishing a journalist through a mobile court.
