Dhaka, Feb 12 (UNB) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday summoned acting high commissioner of Pakistan Shah Fasial Kakar and strongly protested ‘objectionable and derogatory’ remarks over Bangladesh and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman posted on a Pakistani government website.
Director General (South Asia wing) at the ministry Tareque Muhammad summoned the Charge d' Affaires handed over a strongly-worded protest note to him expressing Dhaka's displeasure over the matter, an official told UNB.
The MoFA summoned the Pakistan envoy soon after they noticed the indecent remarks at the comment section of the website.
