The CGS found that Bangladesh witnessed a significant fall in the number of such deaths in comparison to the previous week as the latest number is 12 percent lower.
Dhaka division recorded 242 deaths with coronavirus symptoms while Chattogram recorded 185.
Since the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak, 85 people have been arrested in 81 incidents of spreading rumour related to coronavirus. A lone case was reported between May 10 and May 16 when law enforcers arrested a college teacher from Lalmonirhat on charge of spreading COVID-19 related rumors on Facebook.
Besides, 397 people were reportedly detained, fined or penalised while five were arrested across the country in the week. The number shows 2.85 percent increase in comparison to the previous week.
Most of the fine and penalty accounted for the violation of health and safety regulations amid limited shopping option before Eid-ul-Fitr.
The CGS also found that the number of incidents in which hospitals and doctors denied treatment to non-COVID patients and patients with fever and cold is on the rise. There were at least nine incidents in which patients were denied treatment in the recent week, it added.
There have been 139 incidents of verbal abuse or social stigma since May 8 with 42 percent increase in the recent week.
The number of protest incidents from various actors ranging from garments workers to transportation workers increased sharply in the week. A total of 89 protest programmes took place in the country while 33 of them are in the recent week.
Especially, the garments workers protested in a number of areas for due salary and Eid bonus. Also, there were two protests over lockdown rules, one by transportation workers and another by shopkeepers, first of its kind in Bangladesh.
The report said 103 violent incidents have so far occurred since March 8 that claimed 11 lives and injured 378 people.
Bangladesh on Tuesday witnessed another big jump in coronavirus cases with the detection of 1,251 more patients in a span of 24 hours, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 25,121.

The virus also claimed 21 more lives during the period, pushing up the national tally to 370.
Meanwhile, the global death toll reached 318,465 on Tuesday while the number of confirmed cases across the globe is 4,801,282.
