In an administrative reshuffle, 17 senior officers of the Bangladesh Police, including Additional Inspector General (AIG), Additional Deputy Inspector General (Additional DIG), and Superintendent of Police (SP) rank officials, have been transferred to new areas.

The Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs issued two separate notifications on Monday. 

Transferred Officials

Prominent transfers include:

Abu Hasan Muhammad Tariq, Additional Inspector General at the Police Headquarters.

Md. Marufat Hussain, SP of Natore, transferred to Barishal Range DIG’s office as SP.

Md. Amjad Hossain, AIG at Police Headquarters, posted as SP of Dinajpur.

Md. Zakir Hossain, SP of the Dhaka Special Branch, transferred to Dinajpur.

Md. Abu Sayem Pradhan, Commandant (SP) of Gaibandha’s In-Service Training Centre, reassigned as SP of Chattogram.

Other transfers include:

Md. Saiful Islam Santu, SP of Tangail.

Md. Mizanur Rahman, SP of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Md. Mahbub Hasan, Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), reassigned to the Barishal Range DIG’s office.

Tofail Ahmed, Additional DIG of the Armed Police Battalion (APBn).

Tutul Chakraborty, Additional DIG of Khulna Naval Police.

Mohammad Taherul Haque Chowhan, Joint Commissioner of DMP.

Jesmin Keka, SP of Dhaka Special Branch.

Nikulin Chakma, Commandant (SP) of Sunamganj In-Service Training Centre.

Dr. Humayra Parvin, Deputy Commissioner of DMP.

Abul Kashem Md. Baki Billah, SP of Dhaka Special Branch.

Mahmudul Hasan, Deputy Commissioner of DMP.

Rajib Das, recently promoted to Supernumerary SP, was transferred from his position as Additional Deputy Commissioner of DMP.
