Miscreants set two buses and a truck on fire in different parts of Chattogram city on Wednesday night during the 48-hour countrywide road-rail-waterway blockade enforced by BNP, Jamaat and other like-minded opposition parties.
Two buses parked at Wasa intersection in Chattogram’s Khulshi area, under Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Flyover, were set on fire at 10:50 pm last night, said Khalilur Rahman, senior station officer of Agrabad Fire Service.

No one was arrested in this connection but legal action will be taken against those involved in the arson attack, said Rubel Hawladar, officer-in-charge of Khulshi Police Station.
In another incident, miscreants set a truck carrying TCB goods on fire at Badurtala around 7:30 pm, soon after the announcement of the next general election schedule.
