Dhaka, Apr 30 (UNB)- Two meritorious female students of Dhaka University (DU) received “Shahid Ronoda Prasad Roy Award of Academic Excellence” for their outstanding academic results in BS (Honors) examinations of 2017 on Tuesday.
The students were identified as Sushoma Paul and Atoshi Das, students of Mathematics Department.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman handed over the award as the chief guest at a function at the VC’s lounge of the university.
Treasurer of DU Prof. Dr Md Kamal Uddin presided over the function while Chairman of Mathematics Department Prof. Dr Amal Krishna Halder, Chairman of Applied Mathematics Department Prof. Dr Md Shafiqul Islam and Acting Registrar Md Enamuzzaman were present.
Shahid Ronoda Prasad Roy was a student of DU Mathematics Department who was brutally killed by Pakistani Army on the black night of March 25 in 1971.
