Two men were arrested in connection with the murder of a woman in Uttardihi village of Khulna's Fultali on Wednesday.
The arrestees are Riaz Khandokar, son of Mosharrof Khandokar of Jugnipasha Uttardighi village, and Sohel, said Lt. Col. Mohammad Mostaq Ahmed, director of RAB-6, at a press briefing on Saturday.
Earlier on Wednesday, the headless body of a woman later identified as Muslima Khatun was recovered from a paddy field in Uttardighi village of Fultala.
The deceased Muslima Khatun used to live in a rented house of Damodar village and worked in a mill called Ian Jute.
According to RAB, Riaz met Muslima three days before the killing. On January 25, he called Muslima on his mobile phone at night and asked her to come to Uttardighi village to talk about marriage. Then they brought her to a house in Munsur of Jugnipasha and killed her after rape.

Later, Riaz cut off her head and the body was then dumped in a paddy field.
Riaz was arrested from Faridpur on Friday night and Sohel from Fultali
Victim's sister Aklima Khatun said that Muslima received a call on her mobile phone around 9 pm on January 25. Then she left the house without telling anyone and did not return.Next morning, after receiving the news of the recovery of an unidentified body she went to the spot and identified her sister.
Iliaz Talukdar, Officer-in-Charge of Fultala Police Station, said Muslima was a divorcee. She got familiar with Riaz over mobile phone three days before the incident. Riaz is married with children.
