Two of the five people who suffered burn injuries in a fire at Northeast CNG Refuelling Station in Sylhet's Pathantula have been sent to Dhaka after their condition deteriorated.
Injured Matiur Rahman, 65, and Montaz, 35 were sent to Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, confirmed Dr MA Mannan head of Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital's Burn and Plastic Surgery department.

An ambulance carrying them left Sylhet at around 2:30 pm on Monday, said Mannan.
About 35 percent of both of their bodies were burned, as a result, they were referred to Dhaka before the situation worsened further, he added.

According to witnesses and Fire Service sources, workers of Sylhet City Corporation are working to repair the drain near the North-East CNG Refueling Station in Pathantula area.

According to witnesses and fire service sources, Sylhet City Corporation workers were trying to fix a drain near the CNG station. Around 4:15 p.m., a worker was using grinding equipment to cut rods near the pump's refuelling system. At that moment, the spark landed beneath an oil tanker parked at the station and caught fire.
