Three more overseas returnees were sent to Kuwait Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital on Saturday night from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for having high body temperature.
Dr Shahriar Sazzad, in-charge of Airport Health camp, said they arrived here from Dubai by a flight of Gulf Air around 9 pm on Saturday.
The authorities concerned sent them to the hospital as they had high body temperature, he said.
Earlier, two overseas returnees—one from Maldives and the other from Bahrain-- were sent to the same hospital on Saturday morning from the Airport with high body temperature.
A Malaysia-returnee on Thursday and two people from Saudi Arabia on Friday were directly sent to the hospital from the airport as they were screened with high body temperatures.
In the meantime, Bangladesh on Saturday cancelled all the international passenger flights until March 31 with 10 countries to be effective from 12 am on Sunday to restrict the spread of coronavirus in the country.
Bangladesh reported the country’s first death from coronavirus on March 18 while the second one on Saturday.
