Bangladesh Air Force on Saturday recovered a 250kg bomb from the construction site Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for the third time in a month.
Workers came across the bomb at around 10:50am while digging for the third terminal of the airport.

Next, the bomb disposal unit of Bangladesh Air Force rushed to the spot and defused it, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate said. “Later, the bomb was carried to a safe place for disposal.”
The bomb could have been dropped during the Liberation War of 1971, experts said.
Earlier on December 9 and 14, two more “wartime bombs” were found during the construction of the third terminal of Dhaka airport.
