Four Bangladeshi workers were killed and 15 others injured in a road accident in the Pail area near Mauritius capital Port Louise on Thursday morning.
A bus carrying about 50 Bangladeshi workers crashed into a bus terminal, killing three of the workers on the spot. A fourth worker died at a hospital, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).
The bus was taking the workers to their workplace, Hyvec LTD, a construction company.
The identities of the victims were shared immediately.
One of the injured Bangladeshis is in critical condition. Five injured are hospitalised and 10 were released after receiving appropriate treatment.
Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen, State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam and Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen mourned deaths of the Bangladeshi workers and assured all possible assistance.

Rezina Ahmed and other officials of the Mission rushed to the hospital to check on all the injured and assured them of necessary support from the government.
The Minister for Labour of Mauritius, Regional Health Director and the Manager of the company were also present.
Mauritius Labour Minister conveyed his deep condolences and assured of all necessary assistance.
The Opposition Leader also visited the injured at the hospital.
In the afternoon, the Mauritius Labour Minister presided over a meeting with all stakeholders and asked the company to ensure compensation for the families of the deceased, repatriation of mortal remains and proper treatment of the injured.
Mauritius Foreign Minister Nando Kumar Bhodha conveyed his deepest condolences and ensured that the government will extend all necessary assistance and support.
The company owner has also assured that they would arrange everything as required.
Some 512 Bangladeshi expatriates are working in this company.
The Mauritian government is providing necessary assistance, said the MoFA.
