A team of Special Response Battalion (SRB)-10 recovered four unexploded crude bombs from a garage in the Shuvaddya area of South Keraniganj in Dhaka district on Wednesday afternoon.
The cocktails were found abandoned during a special drive conducted by an operational team of SRB-10's Sadar Company at around 5:10pm on Wednesday.
Tapan Sarkar, senior assistant superintendent of police (Media) of Special Response Battalion-10, said the operation was launched based on secret information about buying and selling illegal drugs and other items in the area.
All four crude bombs were recovered in unexploded condition, he said.
SRB-10 said it follows a zero-tolerance policy against such crimes and remains committed to maintaining law and order and bringing offenders to justice.
The battalion also said it remains prepared to prevent any conspiracy against the country and will continue to perform its duties with the highest level of professionalism in the interest of public safety and the state.
