At least four people have died, four fell sick after consuming alcohol in Rajshahi.
Three of the victims died on Wednesday, and one died on Thursday, said Dr Sankar K Biswas, spokesperson for Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).
The deceased have been identified as Montaz Ali (42), son of Soleman Ali, from Durgapur village in Jahanabad Union of Mohanpur Upazila; Tutul (28), son of Moyez Mondal; Ekdil (50), son of Mongla; and Jewel (25), son of Tuzammel from Karisha village.

Four others are being treated at RMCH. They are Pintu (35), son of Kashem Ali from Durgapur; Akbar (46), son of the late Jahan Ali; Mona (28), son of Sayeed Ali; and Firoz Hossain (28), son of Afsar Ali.
All victims had sought treatment after consuming alcohol. Two of them died upon arrival at the hospital, while two others were declared brought dead, said the RMCH spokesperson.
The condition of the four receiving treatment is stable, and they are under observation, he added.
Helena Akhter, additional superintendent of Rajshahi Police, said that they arrested two individuals in connection with the incident.
The arrestees are Mukul (39), son of Mohir, from Motihar village, and Joni (42), son of Gafur, from Dhopaghata village.

A case has been filed by Masum Rana, the son of one of the victims, Montaz Ali.
Police are continuing their investigation and efforts to arrest others involved in the incident, added the police official.
Acting chairman of Jahanabad Union Parishad, Abdur Rashid, said that he was unaware of how many people had consumed the liquor at the same time but confirmed the deaths and the hospitalisations.
He added that the bodies of the deceased were buried with police permission.
