Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested eight suspected members of banned militant outfit 'Allahr Dal' from Labanchara area in the city Saturday morning.
The arrestees are—Md Hafizur Rahman, 32, Md Zillur Rahman, 31, Md Alamgir Munshi, 30, Md Kayum Hossain, 33, Md Razibul Alam, 37, Sumon Bepari, 33, Md Mustakin Hossain, 26, and Md Jahangir, 29.

Commanding officer of Rab-6, Rowshonul Firoz, said acting on a tip-off, a team of Rab-6 conducted a drive around 9:35 am and arrested them.
“We have seized documents on extremism, Tk 18,995 and 13 mobile phones from them,” he said.
They had been involved with the banned militant outfit for a long time and were collecting members and finance for the organization, Firoz said.
