An air-conditioner (AC) technician died after falling from the 3rd floor of a building while repairing an AC unit on the Eskaton Road in the capital on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Md Yamin, 20, son of late Kashem Hawlader of South Farashganj in Lalmohan upazila of Bhola. He had been living in the Ramna area of Dhaka.
According to co-worker Kamal, the two were repairing an AC unit on the 3rd floor of a house in the morning when Yamin accidentally fell, leaving him seriously injured.
He was first taken to a nearby hospital and later shifted to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where he succumbed to his injuries around 3:00pm while undergoing treatment, said Inspector Md Faruk, in-charge of the DMCH police camp.
