The sale of advance train tickets will start online from March 14 to facilitate travel of Eid holidaymakers.
Bangladesh Railway (BR) will operate five additional pairs of trains on five routes of the country on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, said a press release of Bangladesh Railway issued on Sunday.
The inter-city trains will run as per its previous schedule and there will be no weekly break, it said.

The special trains include—Chattogram-Chandpur-Chattogram, Dhaka-Dewanganj-Dhaka, Bhairabbazar-Koshoreganj-Bhairabbazar, Mymensingh-Kishoreganj-Mymensingh and Joydebpur-Parbatipur-Joydebpur routes.

According to the schedule of these trains, hundred percent tickets will be sold online.
A passenger can buy tickets for Eid advance journey and return journey maximum once.
A per the moon citing of Eid-ul-Fitr, Advance train tickets for March 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, will be available on March 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20 respectively.
Besides, the return tickets for March 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 will be available for April 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.
There will be no stopover of Dhaka-bound Ekata, Drutojan, Panchagarh, Nilsagar, Kurigram, Lalmoni and Rangpur Express trains at Dhaka Airport Station from March 26 to the day before Eid-ul-Fitr.
