Ahsan Habib, who had been serving as acting chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) for nearly four months, has been appointed chairman of the revenue authority.
He has also been appointed secretary of the Internal Resources Division (IRD) on deputation under the 10 percent quota of the President, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Monday.
Ahsan Habib will return to his parent cadre before retirement, the notification said.
Earlier, on June 29, the government made Ashan Habib acting NBR chairman and acting IRD secretary.
