Chief of the Detective Branch (DB)of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP Md Harun-ur-Rashid on Saturday said that they have already identified those involved with the killing of Jubo League activist Oliullah Rubel in Dhaka’s Gulbagh area early Friday.
“Police obtained names of all the accused along with their mobile phone numbers. Now only arrest is left, they will be arrested any time,” he said.
The DB chief said this while talking to journalists after a press conference at DMP media centre in the capital on Saturday.

He said those who took part in the killing mission came in the Gulbagh area by motorbikes and kept an eye on Rubel’s movement. Some hacked Rubel to death and others guarded the area.
The DB head hoped that they would be able to arrest those involved with the killing within a short time.
Asked whether they found any similarity between the killings of Rubel and Motijheel’s Awami League leader Tipu, he said, “As both the incidents happened in Shahjahanpur, we will arrest all shortly and try to compare with each other incidents.”
Replying to a question, the DB officer said it will be known later whether any criminal from the underworld was working to commit the killing.

On early Friday, the unidentified miscreants hacked Rubel to death at Gulbagh in Shahjahanpur in the capital. He had the business of internet and egg supply in the area.
Rubel was also former office secretary of Shahjahanpur Thana Chhatra League. He was involved with the local Jubo League without any official position.
