He informed this while addressing the fourth emergency inter-ministerial meeting at the Ministry over the necessary steps to be taken for Bangladeshi expatriates.
About the constant appeals for bringing back expatriates, Imran said his ministry will hold bilateral and multilateral discussions with concerned countries.
A meeting will be held soon with member countries of Colombo Process and Abu Dhabi Dialogue Forum in this regard, he said.
Minister also urged the authorities concerned to increase quarantine facilities for returnees and to keep them under regular monitoring.
A letter has been issued to the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief as the returnees get emergency food aid.
Meanwhile, the Ministry has already allotted Tk 3 crore for expatriates through Bangladesh embassies, he said, urging the rich Bangladeshis and businessmen to come forward helping the expatriates.
Giving thanks to Bangladesh Army for arranging quarantine for returnees, Minister urged them to establish necessary Field Hospitals for returnees.
Expatriate Minister Imran Ahmad also said food supply and farmers just price will be ensured if Bangladesh Army provides transport facilities in the ongoing crops management in the country.
Attending the meeting, Principal Staff Officer (PSO) Lt Gen Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman said it will be possible to arrange quarantine facilities for 20,000 returnees within the first week of next month.
PSO also gave an assurance of providing all kinds of facilities to Civil Administration.
Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen, State Minister Md Shahriar Alam, Expatriates' Welfare Secretary Md Selim Reza, Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen, among others were present.
