Opposition leader and Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman visited Japan’s parliament building, the National Diet Building, in Tokyo on Thursday.
During the visit, he toured the upper and lower houses as well as several important sections of the parliament complex, said Mujibul Alam, senior assistant of Jamaat’s central publicity department.
A senior official of the Japanese Parliament guided the Jamaat Ameer and briefed him on the parliament’s functions, history and legislative process.
